Giving Back to the Community
We feel that the local Electronic Music community has a slight misrepresentation. We feel that together we are able to make a positive impact on our community. We have decided to start our efforts by hosting food drives where the food is donated to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, and a donation campaign where proceeds for events are donated to the Renown Foundation to be distributed towards the Cancer Center at Renown Health. We feel that both operations help our community in two very wonderful ways, helping with hunger, and localized cancer treatment.
Our Current Campaign
Our current campaign is called Dollar for Pound. We have decided to discount admission into our events that we designate as food drives by $5.00 when a guest donates at least 1 can of food. The food is then taken to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada where it is weighed. After we have the receipt for the weight of food donated in pounds, we donate a portion of our proceeds from the event that matches the amount of food donated in pounds. Our goal for this campaign is 10,000 lbs of food and $10,000.
What's new with our community?
Today I decided to check our team’s website for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. So far we have raised $552.73 towards our goal of $1500.00
We are doing a great job, and we would like to take a moment and thank our list of people who have donated so far.

The team is building now, and we have all decided to try and get a team together to raise funds for children’s cancer research. On march 17th St. Baldricks will be hosting an event at the bowling alley at wild island in sparks. Each team member is working on getting registered, so you can see who is involved. Right now our goal is $1500 to be raised, but we are hoping it could be more than that. It’s really up to you guys. Help us out, and donate today, our team page is below, and it would mean a lot to each one of us if you did what you could, no matter how small.

With this event, we once again have proved that our community is able to produce positive results. We weighed in at 736 lbs of canned food in just under 5 hours. Soon we will be working on donating $736 to the Renown Foundation, bringing up our total donations to $4798 towards our local Cancer Treatment Center, and 4798 pounds of food to help feed the hungry. This is almost half way to our goal. Good job everyone, and thank you for your support!
